Ingredients
Scale
- 4 ripe peaches, sliced
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Select the Peaches: Choose ripe peaches that are slightly soft to the touch. Wash them thoroughly under cold water.
- Slice the Peaches: Cut the peaches in half, remove the pit, and slice into 1/4-inch thick wedges or rounds.
- Prepare the Mozzarella: Slice the fresh mozzarella cheese into rounds, similar in thickness to the peach slices.
- Wash the Basil: Rinse the basil leaves under cold water and pat them dry. Leave whole or tear into smaller pieces.
- Layer the Ingredients: On a serving platter, layer the salad starting with a slice of peach, followed by mozzarella, and then a basil leaf. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
- Drizzle with Olive Oil: Generously drizzle extra virgin olive oil over the assembled salad.
- Add Balsamic Vinegar: Drizzle balsamic vinegar over the salad. For a sweeter touch, use balsamic glaze.
- Season to Taste: Sprinkle salt and freshly cracked black pepper over the salad.
- Garnish: Add whole basil leaves on top for garnish.
- Serve Immediately: Enjoy the salad fresh for the best flavor and texture.
