Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, pour in 1 cup of extra virgin olive oil.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar to the bowl.
  3. Squeeze in 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice.
  4. Toss in 2 cloves of minced garlic.
  5. Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of dried oregano and 1 teaspoon of dried basil.
  6. Add 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (adjust to taste).
  7. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  8. Mix all the ingredients together using a whisk or fork until well combined.
  9. Let the dip sit for at least 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  10. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  11. Slice ciabatta or baguette into thick pieces, about 1-inch thick.
  12. Place the sliced bread on a baking sheet. Optionally, brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
