Enjoy a delicious Honey Garlic Pork Bowl featuring tender marinated pork, vibrant vegetables, and fluffy rice. This quick and easy dish combines sweet and savory flavors, making it perfect for weeknight dinners or meal prep.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pork tenderloin, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced (any color)
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using). Whisk until well blended.
  2. Add the sliced pork tenderloin to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Use your hands for thorough mixing.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (or longer for enhanced flavor).
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  5. Add the marinated pork strips to the skillet, cooking in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
  6. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F/63°C). Remove from skillet and set aside.
  7. In the same skillet, add broccoli florets and sliced bell peppers. Add a splash of olive oil if needed.
  8. Sauté vegetables for 5-7 minutes until tender but still crisp.
  9. Return the cooked pork to the skillet, pour any remaining marinade over, and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  10. Place a generous scoop of cooked rice (about 1 cup) at the bottom of each bowl.
  11. Spoon the honey garlic pork and vegetable mixture over the rice.
  12. Top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Optionally, drizzle with extra soy sauce or sriracha for added flavor.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, increase the amount of red pepper flakes or add sriracha.
  • This dish can be customized with your favorite vegetables or served with different grains like quinoa or cauliflower rice.
