Crispy Salmon Bites with Sauce

These Crispy Salmon Bites with Sauce are golden on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside, and absolutely irresistible when dipped in a creamy, tangy sauce! Perfect for an easy appetizer, a fun weeknight dinner, or meal prepping deliciousness all week long.

  • Total Time: 25–30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

For the salmon bites:

  • 1 pound fresh salmon fillets, skin removed, cut into 1-inch cubes

  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • Cooking spray (for air fryer or baking)

For the sauce:

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or mayonnaise

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • Pinch of salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare your breading station: Set up three shallow bowls — one with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

  2. Coat the salmon: Dip each salmon cube first into the flour, then into the egg, and finally into the panko mixture. Press lightly to help the coating stick.

  3. Air fry or bake:

    • Air Fryer: Preheat to 400°F. Spray the basket with cooking spray. Arrange salmon bites in a single layer and cook for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through.

    • Oven: Preheat to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, arrange the salmon bites, spray lightly with oil, and bake for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway.

  4. Make the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt (or mayo), Dijon mustard, honey, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.

  5. Serve: Plate the crispy salmon bites with the sauce for dipping — and get ready for them to disappear fast!

Notes

  • Be sure to pat the salmon cubes dry before breading to help the coating stick better.

  • Feel free to swap the Greek yogurt in the sauce for mayo if you want it extra creamy!

  • Add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the breadcrumb mixture for a spicy version.

  • Leftovers? Reheat them in the air fryer at 375°F for 3-4 minutes to revive that gorgeous crunch.

  • Freezing tip: Freeze cooked salmon bites on a baking sheet before transferring to a bag for easy meals later!
