  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 6-8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 2 cups fresh raspberries
  • 2 medium apples, cored and chopped
  • 2 medium pears, cored and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 4 cups water
  • 12 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional)
  • Ice cubes (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Wash the Berries: Rinse the strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries under cold water in a colander, shaking gently to remove excess water. Remove any stems or leaves from the strawberries.
  2. Hull and Chop the Strawberries: Hull the strawberries by cutting off the green tops and slice them in half.
  3. Core and Chop the Apples and Pears: Core the apples and pears using a paring knife, removing seeds and tough centers. Chop them into 1-inch cubes.
  4. Combine the Fruits: In a large mixing bowl, combine the strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, chopped apples, and chopped pears.
  5. Blend the Fruit Mixture: In a blender, add half of the fruit mixture and 2 cups of water. Blend on high until smooth.
  6. Strain the Juice: Place a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth over a large bowl or pitcher. Pour the blended mixture into the strainer and press down on the pulp to extract as much juice as possible.
  7. Repeat the Blending: Blend the remaining fruit mixture with the remaining 2 cups of water and strain as before.
  8. Add Lemon Juice: Stir in the tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice to enhance flavor and preserve color.
  9. Sweeten to Taste: Taste the juice and add honey or agave syrup, one tablespoon at a time, stirring well after each addition.
  10. Chill the Juice: Transfer the juice to a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  11. Prepare for Serving: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled juice over the ice.
  12. Garnish (Optional): Garnish each glass with whole berries or a slice of apple or pear for visual appeal.
  13. Enjoy: Serve and enjoy your homemade berry apple pear juice!
